It was an honor to be appointed by the Illinois Supreme Court to serve as Circuit Court Judge in the Sixth Judicial Circuit.
"Judging would-be judges is among the most important decisions voters make." The News-Gazette endorses Rosenbaum - he has performed extremely well in his current post, and "there is no compelling reason to make a change." On a poll conducted by the Illinois State Bar Association,
"Rosenbaum received a perfect 100 on integrity, which is what the public wants to see in its judicial system but too often does not." To view the full endorsement, go to http://www.news-gazette.com/opinion/editorials/2018-10-07/editorial-backing-webber-rosenbaum-seats-bench.html
The Illinois State Bar Association conducted a poll of local attorneys who know the candidates. Attorneys were asked whether candidates possessed 6 qualities needed in judges including integrity and temperament. Judge Rosenbaum never received a score below 95%. The final question was whether attorneys believe that the candidate possesses the necessary qualifications to be a judge. To be recommended, an attorney needed 65% - Judge Rosenbaum's overall rating was 95%. For more information about the poll, go to www.isba.org/judicialevaluations
I’m Randy Rosenbaum and I’m running for Circuit Judge.
Our judicial system plays a key role in ensuring justice for the citizens of our country. I’ve witnessed this firsthand as I’ve served as the Sixth Circuit Judge since 2016.
I believe that all litigants deserve to be treated with respect and dignity, and that common sense and listening to all sides of a case is key to making an informed, fair ruling.
I have the experience and qualifications needed to continue my role as the Sixth Circuit Judge. That is why I am asking for your vote in November for Circuit Judge in Champaign, Douglas, DeWitt, Macon, Moultrie, and Piatt counties.
I had been a practicing attorney for 25 years, the last 18 years serving as Champaign County’s Chief Public Defender. I had spent my career in public service, helping those less fortunate navigate the complexities of the criminal justice system. Even though I helped thousands of clients over the years, I wanted the opportunity to help more people in more ways. I was also active in legal and civic organizations to help make our community better. I worked closely with the judiciary, law enforcement, educators and the general public.
I am looking for help to support my candidacy for Circuit Court Judge in 2018. Here are a few ways you can help:
Invite me to speak at a local organization. Are you a member of Rotary, Kiwanis or another professional organization? I’m happy to come to your organization to discuss my work as a judge in family court or as a public defender in criminal cases.
Host a “meet-and-greet” at your home or business. I’m always looking for ways to get to know voters in Champaign, Douglas, DeWitt, Macon, Moultrie, and Piatt counties. If you’re interested in opening your home or workplace for me to come and share about my work as a judge, let me know.
Help walk in neighborhoods. My campaign is looking for volunteers to canvass neighborhoods , talking to citizens and passing out literature.
Display a yard sign, and pass one along to your friend. The easiest way to spread the word about my candidacy is to display a sign in your yard, and share one with your friends!
